Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone. We have been very busy here at the farm. We have been helping Grandpa clean out the house in Glendale and prepin the Sierra house for his move. We will be moving into the house in Glendale soon. The kids are all doing great. Malarie is getting good grades, Justin is learning his letters and how to count to 50. Avarie is still gaining weight and is as happy as she can be. We went to Malaries' school for Trunk or Treat friday. The kids had a blast. There were alot of people there! Malarie was a witch, Justin was an "ARMY guy", and little miss Avarie was the cutest fat bunny you have ever seen!! Last month I had technical difficulties with posting pictures. Hopefully it will work out better this time around. Kim and Hank have been kept very busy with work. Kim has ben going on TDY's alot. If anyone would like their mailing address or email address email me at idoraandjustin@yahoo.com or call me. They love getting packages with lots of goodies!! Hope this finds you all doing well, God Bless, The Flohn Farm

Party Time!

Hello to all reading this! I know I haven't updated in about a month. Everyone is doing well here. Kim and Hank are doing well also. We miss them so much! They are in our prayers. This month we had a birthday party for Mom and Brian. It was a lot of fun. Alot of friends and family were there as well. Ray has been working very hard while the kids are doing great in school. Parent teacher conferences are next week, so we will find out HOW well they are really doing. I go back to school on October 20th to finish my externship, after that I will graduate. Yippie!!! It is a little bitter sweet because I have been spoiled with being able to stay home and just focus on being a mom. I don't care what anyone says, it is a tough and demanding job! I love every minute of it. Avarie is getting FAT! She has rolls on her rolls. At least I know she is eating enough. Avarie has jumped up to the 75th % in weight and length. (11.12 lbs, 23" long, at 2 months) She got her first 3 shots and an oral medication. She was not thrilled at all with this, but she got some really cute bandaids. (I don't think she cared about those) Justin has one of the most creative imaginations a little boy could ever have and he is growing up so fast. Malarie is learning about how to choose friends and she is alot happier since she has discovered how to be her own person. Malarie is also a standin member for Student Council. She is really excited about this. Malarie wants to try a dance class of some sort and mabey a sport or two. Justin's teacher has a color chart for behavior, which Justin has been having "Green" days this week. (thats good) We are so proud of our kids. I also included a picture of the eggs we have been getting. How exciting!!!Hope this finds you all well. God bless, The Flohn Farm

The Flohn Farm

Well tomorrow Avarie will be 6 weeks old. I can't believe how fast time flys by! Kim is already over seas and Hank will be leaving soon. Avarie had her 1 month check up and already weighs 8.11 lbs, 21.5 inches long. Justin was 8.14, 21 inches long when he was BORN!!! She has started to smile and follow objects with her eyes. Last night she slept through the night (8 hours). Avarie usually sleeps 6 hours, eats, diaper change , and then she is down for another 3 hours. Both schedules are great! I don't know if it is just me, but do school pictures get earlier in the year all the time? Malarie already had her pictures taken and Justin is having his done this friday. They just started school a month ago. I have almost completely healed from my c-section. My mom and dad are doing great. Mom had elbow surgery a few weeks ago and is doing physical therapy to regain her strength and mobility in her arm. Ray is still loving his job and working, what seems like, 100 hours a week. Ray's dad is not doing too well, please keep him in your prayers. Here is an exciting tidbit, I now have green eggs being layed!! The weather is starting to cool down so I expect egg production to increase. I hope that all of you are doing well, and if you read this blog please leave a comment. I would love to hear from you. God Bless, The Flohn Farm

...P.S. Do you think I should leave Justins' hair like this for school pictures?

First day of school

Malarie and Justin started school on August 6th. Justin was sooo excited to meet new friends and his teacher. Justin is one of the tallest kids in his class. Both kids are doing very well so far. Malarie is looking into joining FFA while Justin has lost his two front bottom teeth. He loves to show the empty place off to EVERYONE! Avarie is still doing well. Justin works hard everyday to earn a skittle from his teacher. If the kids have a good day without getting their name on the board they get a skittle at the end of the day. Justin is slowly figureing out how to earn his skittle for the day. He gets very upset when he hasn't had such a good day. I am slowly catching up on blogging and posting pictures. Most of you know that my sister Kim is in the Air Force. She and her Husband, Hank, will be deployed over seas in the next couple weeks. I will post an address for them as soon as I get one. I would ask for you to pray for them to be safe on their journey. It was great getting to see and spend time with them. God Bless, The Flohn Farm

21 Hours To Go

Hello everyone. Well tomorrow is the BIG day! We are so excited to finally meet our little girl. This will be the last time you see me pregnant with Avarie Jean. The next updates will be pictures of our precious little bundle of joy. I wish Grandma could have been here for this important day, but I know that she will be looking down on us to make sure that everything goes just fine. It was really strange not sharing my birthday with her this year. I can't remember a year when we didn't have a combined birthday party. I am thankful to have those memories of her to pass on.

Today I am going around getting all the last minute things completed for the next week. I am thankful to have the help and support of my family since Ray will unfortunately have to return to work after just three days off. Tomorrow morning we have to be at the hospital between four-thirty and five am. The c-section is schedueled for seven am. It should be a very busy morning and not to mention exciting. I am getting a little nervous about the procedure but do not expect any complications. I will talk to you all later and send out updates as soon as I can, God Bless, The Flohn Farm

13 Days To Go!

Avarie will be here in 13 days! I can"t wait to see what she looks like. Her room is very much ready for her arrival. It is done in a horse theme with a little John Deere thrown in of course. Avarie loves to move around all the time. I'm pretty sure that my insides are bruised up from her tumbling and ty-bo classes she holds by herself. I have a feeling that she will be just as active outside as she has been inside. Avarie gets the hiccups almost after every meal. I hope this doesn't mean that she will be a gassy baby. (Just like Daddy!) Malarie and Justin are getting really excited about their new baby sister. Ray still thinks HE is having a baby. But I think everyone knows who does all the work! I am very excited to see my sister and brother-in-law soon. We will be blessed to be able to see and spend time with them before their deployment overseas. I am getting a little nervous about the c-section but I have a wonderful doctor and I know that I am in good hands. I can't wait to see how Ray handles the yuck of the delivery. He doesn't do too well with those sort of things. We have also added to our "Farm" 2 ducks and a new kitten who is about 4 weeks old. Justin has named her "Sparkle". Our White Leghorn hen has been laying for about 1 month. The eggs are about half the size you get in the store but they taste great! Justin and Malarie love going out to check for her egg daily. The brown hens haven't started laying yet. I expect them to start once it cools down a little. Production is usually less in the summer and more in the winter. Well I will keep you all updated about Avaries progress and the adventures of the Flohn Farm. God Bless. The Flohn Family Farm

P.S. I just figured out how to add PICTURES!!!!! Yeah!

GROWING UP

Well today I registred Justin for this coming school year. I got all choked up at the thought of him being old enough to start school. (Ray laughs at me.) I am excited for Justin to move on and start learning new things, making new friends and having home work (which he is excited about!). School starts August 6th. Avarie will be here August 1st! We will be very busy with all the new adjustments that week. Malarie will be going into the 8th grade, and that means in 1 year she will be going into HIGH SCHOOL!!! Not to mention, I still will have an Externship and Graduation to complete after all gets settled at home. As I always say ...NEVER a dull moment at the Flohn Farm. It will be nice to have the all day Kindergarden with a new baby at home. I will be going to work after a little while at home. Just a quick reminder...10 WEEKS TIL THE NEW ARRIVAL!!! Have a wonderful and safe long weekend. The Flohn Farm

Big Wind

Tuesday we had a big wind rip through or yard. It picked up Justins' trampoline and threw it 2 yards south of us. Mangling and twisting the frame beyond repair. It also picked up his wooden play set and moved it up and over a trailer into the next door neighbors yard. Justin was not pleased at this event. Now we have alot of firewood and an extra bottom for a trampoline. Fortunately no one was hurt. An eye wittness (neighbor) said the trampoline was at least 30 feet in the air and for about 1-2 minutes!!! FLY AWAY! BEEEE FREEE!!! I have a picture of the trampoline and many other pictures to share but still haven't found out how to do it. (Kristen, I'll call you later this week) I finally got of the list as a spam blog now, I can write more often. Never a dull moment out here at the Flohn Farm! Our new bundle of joy will be here in 11 weeks. WOW! Can you believe that? We have been working on Avaries' room and hopefully it will be finished before she gets here. Still have to furnish and put up the wallpaper border. More to come....
