Another hit!

I made Sun Dried Tomato Chicken last night and and they LOVED IT!! Yippie! My search is going well so far and I am glad to have found some tasty, healthy meals on various web sites. I think I found this one on kraft.com. It had alot of flavor and under 300 calories per serving. It was really easy to put together also which is a big plus, since I am working. If you are interested in the recipie I can post it to my blog or facebook. I think I'm going to have to upload pictures of the final product also to make it more fun to talk about the yummy food. On to the next, God bless, the Flohn Farm.

Greetings again!

My goodness it has been along time (2 1/2 years to be exact) since I have written. Well I think I now will be able to start blogging more often. We have moved to a small town in Texas and love it here. Ray has been working hard and the kids (Malarie and Justin) are doing well in school. Avarie is going to be three years old this summer! She has been attending daycare and loves going to play with her friends and learn new things. WOW! Time flies when you are having fun. Ray recently has been on a diet so I have been trying to change things up a bit to make healthier meals while still staying on my budget. We go through fruit like it is going out out style. I am very lucky that the kids will snack on fruit rather than chips which I hardly buy anyways. I have been working at a day practice animal hospital an love all the people I work with. I am very blessed that it is real close to our home and the kids school also.

I have recently named myself a bad cook. I have been stuck in a rut of cooking the same meals over and over. My new cooking adventure was somewhat inspired by a recent movie I watched, "Julie and Julia". I like how she braved all the recipies and tried new things out of her comfort zone. I too need to get out of my comfort zone of the crockpot! My last crockpot meal was a disaster and everyone ended up eating peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches for dinner instead. But not me, I braved my way through the dish with a "it's not too bad" attitude. So my search begins for quick, easy, healthy, inexpensive new meal ideas for the Flohn Farm. Wish me luck.

PS: I made Rustic Itallian Chicken and Rice last night which was an absolute hit! (kraft.com)
